This review is from: Bobkona Manhanttan Reversible Microfiber 3-Piece Sectional Sofa with Faux Leather Ottoman in Pebble Color (Kitchen) Let me preface this by saying that this is the first couch I have ever bought online and only the second couch I have ever purchased - the first being a cheap loveseat from the local Swedish flat-pack specialty store. This is a great couch. It comes in pieces and you have to assemble it. The instructions do NOT have words and aren't completely clear - but it only took me about 45 minutes to put this thing together. Putting it together does take the mystery out of its constructiona nd does make you wonder about its long term sturdiness - but it's exactly the same build quality as mid-grade department store stuff, higher grade Swedish flat-pack specialty store stuff, etc. So good stuff. Should last you a while. The cushions are very stiff at first. Mine still are. It's only been up for a few days now. And they tend to lean forward a bit, but that's because it's a flatter seat rather than a deep, lean back seat. I really like the couch - with the ottoman it's very comfortable. My wife and 4 month old daughter and I can all curl up into an L-shape and snuggle on it. The cushions are zippered with removable, washable covers. They are pretty good quality although I think they won't last more than hald a dozen years or so - maybe less. They aren't the highest quality microfiber and like I said it is dense foam. The base will last long enough though that having new cushions and covers made for a few hundred bucks after five or six years would be worth it. The ottoman is NOT a storage ottoman like I was hoping for. But that's ok. Four stars. Not superb build quality - but quite good - and free shipping on a couch is amazing if you're a prime member. But for the price it offers it is truly amazing, I have been searching online and in furniture stores for about three months looking for a couch. This was going to be the first couch I have ever purchased so I wanted to make sure I got the right one. My first main concern was that it had to be comfy, because I play video games a lot in my living room so that meant I will be on the couch more then in my own bed. Second concern was the price range, I didn't want to purchase something that cost over 1,000 and it fall apart with in a year or two. I wanted it to last and not make me feel as if I wasted my money. I live on my own in new york and I attend school so spare change isn't easy to come by. There are miner flaws with this product but due to all the reviews I have read for this product I was fully aware of what problems may occur. I hope that this will help you make your decision of whether or not this couch is for you. 1. Some of the wholes was bigger then the screws themselves but I assume that they had predicted that will occur and they give you thin medal washers to place between to screw and wood. Even so, I still believe its unreasonably larger and can cause it to become very unstable if you do not make sure to fight with it so that it remains tight in place. There was also extra unneeded wholes that look like it was unintentionally placed there. 2. Instructions aren't as clear as I had hoped but thanks to the prier customers i was expecting it. It wasn't that difficult to figure out and it only took me two hours to put together. 3. I had read in one of the reviews that a female claimed the boxes wasn't heavy and I figured she must have been really strong. Due to the fact that it seems odd for a couch to not be heavy, but I am a 5'4 female and she was right it was really light. I was able to move everything around with out any problem. 4. It came three days earlier then the original estimated date and there customer service was very polite and very helpful. 5. Its really not that sturdy! Due to the fact that the Wholes are so big and are not secured by anything. Poorly made, had extra unnecessary wholes and the frame was damaged. The wood should have medal slots in order to support the screws and hold it in place. But as long as your not rough housing on it too much it should last for a long time in my opinion. 6. I noticed some people mentioned that some of the cushions had black stains on it. From my prospective I noticed one mark but lucky since my couch will be on my left side of my apartment I wasn't using that side of the cushion. But the mark seems as if something got into the box and if your careful you can remove it with out damaging the couch. 7. I LOVED how it is option to place the couch cushions on the left or right so your not forced to redesign your living room. 8. I find to be VERY comfortable and I love laying on it. Once I finished assembling it; the minute I laid on it I passed out. I don't know if it was due to me being so exhausted or because it was so comfy but I love coming home to this couch. I love the feel of the fabric and the design. It is really comfy and looks very elegant. I love the size of it and it is perfect for a small apartment. The color isn't to heavy or too light and it goes perfectly with my floors. For the price of this couch I have to honestly say it is amazing and with out a doubt I would recommend to anyone. Plus your saving a lot of money for almost the same exact product that is sold in bob furniture, costco, ikea, fineman, ect. I saved so much on this and thanks to all the reviews and research I did I am super happy I went through and bought this product. I hope I was helpful and I hope you have a wonderful day! This is the cheapest, poorest quality and most uncomfortable sofa I have ever sat on. The "leather" is cheap and smells like plastic! The cushions are literally styrofoam blocks that constantly slide apart from one another leaving you to sink to the bottom of the plywood sofa frame. The photos are deceiving- it is not nearly as comfortable as it looks. You know the kind of dealer who sets up shop in an old building that you would have never known was even a furniture store had it not been for the ad. I don't quite remember how I heard of the place...Creig's list maybe. Anyway, the price was unbeatable. I saw the picture from an ad and when I went to purchase the couch, I was disappointed it was a dark chocolate brown, and not the camel tan one in the picture. Even in the picture listed here, the couch is darker like the leather. I decided to go ahead and buy the couch and lighten it up with pillows. I have three children, so I figured the darker color would be best. The cushions seemed firm and stiff (not the good cushioned firm, either). So, I'm ready to grab the couch and ottoman wrapped in plastic and load up the truck when the store owner's "mover" comes around from "out back" with two boxes...hmm. My first thought was if a couch could even fit inside the boxes. After some reassurance, I am ready to take the couch home still. THEN, the owner tells me that the ottoman would have to be ordered...ok...more disappointment. I hate salesmen, by the way. After getting the couch home, it sits in my living room for a few days before I call up a friend to help me put the thing together. An hour, or two...like most reviewers...and everything is all set. After setting up the couch, I was pleased with the way it looked in my loft...however, I still had questions about the cheap cardboard feel of the frame and the plastic feet and how light the couch was. Needless, to say, about a year and a half later, I am pleased with the purchase. The first weeks of use, my three young children broke in one of the cushions pretty badly by jumping on the couch. I noticed a change in the firmness almost immediately and when I sat down, I wondered if I was on the same couch. I sank deep. However, the other cushions have remained pretty stable and that one cushion has not gotten any worse. The couch has had many spills...and there are no stains on the couch after wiping the couch with upholstery cleaner and a damp rag. The color is still the same as well. After researching the name brand, Coaster, I found that this couch is actually for functionality. And that's exactly what it does. It's very functional. I live on the third floor and I can actually appreciate the concept behind this line of furniture. It's lightweight, easy to put together, and cheap in price to where I'm not going to care if my little ones tear it up. It looks very nice in my living room and it's holding up. I don't have to worry about moving this item down three flights up steps when I move out, either. I recommend this couch for college students, or those who live upstairs. It is not only poor quality, but the cushions that initially came with it didnt fit and they wouldnt accept a return. I had to place my own cushions to get it to fit. After one year, all the cushions are smushed and you are basically sitting on a fabric covered set of springs. It looks nice in the picture, but DO NOT PURCHASE THIS COUCH!!!!! It looked so nice in our apartment, it was comfortable and classy. Everything you could want in furniture. Today we're shopping to replace it. The cushions are so warped out of shape that no matter how much we try to compensate, to sit on the couch is more comfortable than sitting on the hardwood floor with a pillow. The foam inside the cushions started to deform after the first year so we tried to shift the foam around, add pillows and more foam to compensate for the large divots. Today, the couch looks like something out of a Picasso painting and is, in my opinion, unusable. The ottoman's held up wonderfully, though, go figure. If you're looking for something to last a while I'd look elsewhere. Like others who have bought this and other sofas, I was a little worried about buying something as big as this online without checking it out first. I decided to take the plunge though, and I'm glad I did. I like this sofa. The build quality is good for the price, the assembly was pretty simple, it's very comfortable, and it's perfect for having some friends over. The chase section is a great addition as well. A few minor issues: -The cushions move around on top of the couch too much. I decided to get some velcro for them, so that they'll better stay in place. -On a similar note, I'd recommend getting some pads to put underneath the legs, because on hardwood floors, the couch/chase easily move around, which was to be expected. Overall, I am very happy with this sectional. It's not top of the line, but if this is your price range, it's a good buy. I recommend it. First off, I was skeptical about buying couches off of Amazon since I had never made such an important and large home purchase from the internet before. However, now that the couches are put togethe and in our living room, I think they look great. The color is true to the picture and the sectional is larger than I had imagined it would be. The material is sturdy and overall, it is pretty easy to put together. We did have to do a little manuevering of the screw holes since they were not precisely aligned on one of the pieces we had to put together. I was happy to find that the pillows are comfortable and 2-3 people can comfortably relax on this sectional. The ottoman is a great addition. We bought a wooden tray that covers the ottoman and we now use it as a resting area and as a converted "coffee table." I was not impressed with the two throw pillows, so we ended up buying much nicer pillows to spice up the sofa. The color can be a bit bland, so adding in fun throw pillows certainly helps. The reason this did not get 5 stars is because of the horrible shipping experience we had. The vendor used HomeDirect USA in our area. The shipment was late by a few days from the estimated latest arrival date from Amazon. The shipping company also did not update the shipping information while the sectional was in transit, so we were a bit in the dark on where the couches were located. THe other negative is that you cannot schedule a delivery time until the night before. Upon agreement with the shipping company for a specific delivery date, they then call with an automated message the night before indicated your 4 hour delivery window. If your schedule is busy, this can be a bit hard. We upgraded to a "Platinum" shipping where the company would bring the furniture in and assemble it. To our dismay, the couches were left unassembled and the company groaned after 20 minutes that they had been here long enough and that they would not assemble the couch. Without going into more detail, this left us without the service we requested and we ended up putting the couches together ourselves (all the while fixing mistakes they made on the pieces they had managed to put together). After promptly e-mailing VisionDecor and sending them pictures of the state the delivery company left our couches in, VisionDecor quickly worked to solve this issue. Their customer service was excellent all through the process and they were quick to respond to any questions I had. I cannot blame them for the shipping issue because they were quick to offer a solution and left me satisfied in the end. So, the couches are great and definitely worth the price...the shipping, however, left plenty to be desired. I was a little wary of buying a couch from Amazon, but this seemed like a pretty good deal so I decided to go for it. The couch came in boxes and we had to assemble it, but it only took my husband a couple of hours to get it unboxed and put together (that's with my 2 year old "helping" him.) The color is exactly what it looks like, a dark, rich, beautiful brown. The thing I was most worried about was comfort. When I first sat down it was on the stiff side, and my heart sank a little. Then realized I was sitting up straight with my knees together and my hands on my knees (not comfortable, no matter where you're sitting.) After an hour or so of lounging on it watching TV, I fell in love with it. I didn't want to get off it to go to bed. I think after a while it will soften up just enough that it will be very comfortable without swallowing you up every time you sit in it like really soft couches do.
