After reading bad reviews about purchasing the couch from other vendors and shipping nightmares, I decided to pay extra and purchase the couch from Amazon and get free shipping. The three boxes made it into my house at the estimated delivery date (deliverd by ABF) without too much challenge. I had to make it up a flight of right angle stairs into a 2nd floor apartment. I can see that the assembly might be a pain for some people because the directions are just pictures. But if your familiar with bolts, locks nuts, and washers its pretty self-explanatory. The couch is light, wood isn't of the best material, but it seems like it is well built and sturdy. The couch shouldn't break unless someone where to cannonball on it. Cushions are very comfortable and seem to be made from good material. It does look really good in my living room. Some rubber feet on the bottom of the legs is necessary if it is going to be on a hard wood floor because it can slide around. The cushions are not reversible so don't spill and they could also use some velcro because they can also slide out. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and wouldn't discourage anyone from buying. I paid about 0 for my couch here on Amazon and as soon as i did they raised the price to 9! i wouldnt pay that much for it! the material and color is nice! the chaise is reversible which is a good thing except for the fact that the two pieces of the actual sectional (the chaise and the couch part) dont connect! and im guessing that it is for decorative reasons! but i have a few ideas to solve that. hopefully it works! putting it together alone took me about 1.5-2 hours! really easy once you figure out the instructions. which were pics only and small ones at that! but it shows both the right chaise and the left chaise instructions! it is a little stiff but with use i believe it will become more comfortable! the shipment is 3 boxes total! the ottoman, the chaise and the actual couch part all in their own box with the pillows stuffed in the bases! the color is exactly as seen in the picture and no sure if this is real leather (i dont think so) but its not so bad)! hope this helps! Isn't it important to sit/touch/etc. furniture? Well, I'm very glad I went for it. This set is quite soft and marks seem to rub off without too much work. It is a nice light cream color. Not stark white but also a bit lighter than it appears on my computer. The assembly instructions are clear. Think Ikea. The parts are labeled with letters to ensure proper identification. Also I think it fits shorter people well. You don't feel like you are sitting in a giant's chair. So the product is very satisfactory and I think Amazon has priced this competitively. I am especially pleased because even before my set arrived (and I have to admit it was faster delivery than anticipated -- 8 days after I ordered), the price dropped and Amazon graciously refunded the difference. This is bonded leather not the real deal. However, since I have bought bonded leather as an occasional piece and it worked out well and, since I knew it was not going to be used that often I thought I would give this a shot. The sofa delivery arrived fine with little issue. The color was great (I bought the red one). Putting it together was a little tricky. But, the big issue is that one seat cushion arrived defective and needs to be replaced and another appears as though it will be defective soon. Right now, my family is afraid to sit on it. I'm really dissapointed because I bought a sofa on-line about ten years ago that I still own and use in my den. This sofa was delivered less than a month ago and has not been used for two weeks yet, it does not appear that it is going to hold up. I have asked for help with this transaction and hope that Amazon and the seller helps to make this right--at least replace the bad cushions, etc., however, I have a suspicion this will not turn out well and this is going to be MONEY wasted. After, Amazon responds, I will follow up with another review. But, so far, buyer beware! Update: 1/24/2011 The initial response from Amazon thus far is that they cannot send me just a seat cushion. I would have to send the entire sofa back-- AT MY EXPENSE! They suggested I contact the manufacturer to see if they would work with me. So much for "Earth's Most Customer Centric Company" as they claim. Update: Amazon made this right, not the COMPANY. You cannot get in touch with them. Same issue with other reviewer. When Amazon recognized the issue they had someone pick up the sofa and didn't charge me. Amazon came through-not this company. One big hassle! Many of the other shoppers who bought this sofa in other colors have experienced issues as well. This review is from: Bobkona Manhanttan Reversible Microfiber 3-Piece Sectional Sofa with Faux Leather Ottoman in Pebble Color (Kitchen) Let me preface this by saying that this is the first couch I have ever bought online and only the second couch I have ever purchased - the first being a cheap loveseat from the local Swedish flat-pack specialty store. This is a great couch. It comes in pieces and you have to assemble it. The instructions do NOT have words and aren't completely clear - but it only took me about 45 minutes to put this thing together. Putting it together does take the mystery out of its constructiona nd does make you wonder about its long term sturdiness - but it's exactly the same build quality as mid-grade department store stuff, higher grade Swedish flat-pack specialty store stuff, etc. So good stuff. Should last you a while. The cushions are very stiff at first. Mine still are. It's only been up for a few days now. And they tend to lean forward a bit, but that's because it's a flatter seat rather than a deep, lean back seat. I really like the couch - with the ottoman it's very comfortable. My wife and 4 month old daughter and I can all curl up into an L-shape and snuggle on it. The cushions are zippered with removable, washable covers. They are pretty good quality although I think they won't last more than hald a dozen years or so - maybe less. They aren't the highest quality microfiber and like I said it is dense foam. The base will last long enough though that having new cushions and covers made for a few hundred bucks after five or six years would be worth it. The ottoman is NOT a storage ottoman like I was hoping for. But that's ok. Four stars. Not superb build quality - but quite good - and free shipping on a couch is amazing if you're a prime member. But for the price it offers it is truly amazing, I have been searching online and in furniture stores for about three months looking for a couch. This was going to be the first couch I have ever purchased so I wanted to make sure I got the right one. My first main concern was that it had to be comfy, because I play video games a lot in my living room so that meant I will be on the couch more then in my own bed. Second concern was the price range, I didn't want to purchase something that cost over 1,000 and it fall apart with in a year or two. I wanted it to last and not make me feel as if I wasted my money. I live on my own in new york and I attend school so spare change isn't easy to come by. There are miner flaws with this product but due to all the reviews I have read for this product I was fully aware of what problems may occur. I hope that this will help you make your decision of whether or not this couch is for you. 1. Some of the wholes was bigger then the screws themselves but I assume that they had predicted that will occur and they give you thin medal washers to place between to screw and wood. Even so, I still believe its unreasonably larger and can cause it to become very unstable if you do not make sure to fight with it so that it remains tight in place. There was also extra unneeded wholes that look like it was unintentionally placed there. 2. Instructions aren't as clear as I had hoped but thanks to the prier customers i was expecting it. It wasn't that difficult to figure out and it only took me two hours to put together. 3. I had read in one of the reviews that a female claimed the boxes wasn't heavy and I figured she must have been really strong. Due to the fact that it seems odd for a couch to not be heavy, but I am a 5'4 female and she was right it was really light. I was able to move everything around with out any problem. 4. It came three days earlier then the original estimated date and there customer service was very polite and very helpful. 5. Its really not that sturdy! Due to the fact that the Wholes are so big and are not secured by anything. Poorly made, had extra unnecessary wholes and the frame was damaged. The wood should have medal slots in order to support the screws and hold it in place. But as long as your not rough housing on it too much it should last for a long time in my opinion. 6. I noticed some people mentioned that some of the cushions had black stains on it. From my prospective I noticed one mark but lucky since my couch will be on my left side of my apartment I wasn't using that side of the cushion. But the mark seems as if something got into the box and if your careful you can remove it with out damaging the couch. 7. I LOVED how it is option to place the couch cushions on the left or right so your not forced to redesign your living room. 8. I find to be VERY comfortable and I love laying on it. Once I finished assembling it; the minute I laid on it I passed out. I don't know if it was due to me being so exhausted or because it was so comfy but I love coming home to this couch. I love the feel of the fabric and the design. It is really comfy and looks very elegant. I love the size of it and it is perfect for a small apartment. The color isn't to heavy or too light and it goes perfectly with my floors. For the price of this couch I have to honestly say it is amazing and with out a doubt I would recommend to anyone. Plus your saving a lot of money for almost the same exact product that is sold in bob furniture, costco, ikea, fineman, ect. I saved so much on this and thanks to all the reviews and research I did I am super happy I went through and bought this product. I hope I was helpful and I hope you have a wonderful day! This is the cheapest, poorest quality and most uncomfortable sofa I have ever sat on. The "leather" is cheap and smells like plastic! The cushions are literally styrofoam blocks that constantly slide apart from one another leaving you to sink to the bottom of the plywood sofa frame. The photos are deceiving- it is not nearly as comfortable as it looks. You know the kind of dealer who sets up shop in an old building that you would have never known was even a furniture store had it not been for the ad. I don't quite remember how I heard of the place...Creig's list maybe. Anyway, the price was unbeatable. I saw the picture from an ad and when I went to purchase the couch, I was disappointed it was a dark chocolate brown, and not the camel tan one in the picture. Even in the picture listed here, the couch is darker like the leather. I decided to go ahead and buy the couch and lighten it up with pillows. I have three children, so I figured the darker color would be best. The cushions seemed firm and stiff (not the good cushioned firm, either). So, I'm ready to grab the couch and ottoman wrapped in plastic and load up the truck when the store owner's "mover" comes around from "out back" with two boxes...hmm. My first thought was if a couch could even fit inside the boxes. After some reassurance, I am ready to take the couch home still. THEN, the owner tells me that the ottoman would have to be ordered...ok...more disappointment. I hate salesmen, by the way. After getting the couch home, it sits in my living room for a few days before I call up a friend to help me put the thing together. An hour, or two...like most reviewers...and everything is all set. After setting up the couch, I was pleased with the way it looked in my loft...however, I still had questions about the cheap cardboard feel of the frame and the plastic feet and how light the couch was. Needless, to say, about a year and a half later, I am pleased with the purchase. The first weeks of use, my three young children broke in one of the cushions pretty badly by jumping on the couch. I noticed a change in the firmness almost immediately and when I sat down, I wondered if I was on the same couch. I sank deep. However, the other cushions have remained pretty stable and that one cushion has not gotten any worse. The couch has had many spills...and there are no stains on the couch after wiping the couch with upholstery cleaner and a damp rag. The color is still the same as well. After researching the name brand, Coaster, I found that this couch is actually for functionality. And that's exactly what it does. It's very functional. I live on the third floor and I can actually appreciate the concept behind this line of furniture. It's lightweight, easy to put together, and cheap in price to where I'm not going to care if my little ones tear it up. It looks very nice in my living room and it's holding up. I don't have to worry about moving this item down three flights up steps when I move out, either. I recommend this couch for college students, or those who live upstairs. It is not only poor quality, but the cushions that initially came with it didnt fit and they wouldnt accept a return. I had to place my own cushions to get it to fit. After one year, all the cushions are smushed and you are basically sitting on a fabric covered set of springs. It looks nice in the picture, but DO NOT PURCHASE THIS COUCH!!!!!
