After reading bad reviews about purchasing the couch from other vendors and shipping nightmares, I decided to pay extra and purchase the couch from Amazon and get free shipping. The three boxes made it into my house at the estimated delivery date (deliverd by ABF) without too much challenge. I had to make it up a flight of right angle stairs into a 2nd floor apartment. I can see that the assembly might be a pain for some people because the directions are just pictures. But if your familiar with bolts, locks nuts, and washers its pretty self-explanatory. The couch is light, wood isn't of the best material, but it seems like it is well built and sturdy. The couch shouldn't break unless someone where to cannonball on it. Cushions are very comfortable and seem to be made from good material. It does look really good in my living room. Some rubber feet on the bottom of the legs is necessary if it is going to be on a hard wood floor because it can slide around. The cushions are not reversible so don't spill and they could also use some velcro because they can also slide out. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and wouldn't discourage anyone from buying. First I'd like to announce once again that the shipping company used by Visiondecor is horrible (Baileys)! Not only was it late; they also came to my city just twice a month. (im in cheyenne, wy the capitol of the state btw) i ordered it on 29 Jan 2010 and received it today on 11 Mar 2010! the furniture itself is beautiful! i made my rating based off of this alone. (Visiondecor just needs a new shipping company). they also promised to refund me the cost of shipping which was 8 for the hassle. I paid about 0 for my couch here on Amazon and as soon as i did they raised the price to 9! i wouldnt pay that much for it! the material and color is nice! the chaise is reversible which is a good thing except for the fact that the two pieces of the actual sectional (the chaise and the couch part) dont connect! and im guessing that it is for decorative reasons! but i have a few ideas to solve that. hopefully it works! putting it together alone took me about 1.5-2 hours! really easy once you figure out the instructions. which were pics only and small ones at that! but it shows both the right chaise and the left chaise instructions! it is a little stiff but with use i believe it will become more comfortable! the shipment is 3 boxes total! the ottoman, the chaise and the actual couch part all in their own box with the pillows stuffed in the bases! the color is exactly as seen in the picture and no sure if this is real leather (i dont think so) but its not so bad)! hope this helps! It looked so nice in our apartment, it was comfortable and classy. Everything you could want in furniture. Today we're shopping to replace it. The cushions are so warped out of shape that no matter how much we try to compensate, to sit on the couch is more comfortable than sitting on the hardwood floor with a pillow. The foam inside the cushions started to deform after the first year so we tried to shift the foam around, add pillows and more foam to compensate for the large divots. Today, the couch looks like something out of a Picasso painting and is, in my opinion, unusable. The ottoman's held up wonderfully, though, go figure. If you're looking for something to last a while I'd look elsewhere. I decided to take the plunge though, and I'm glad I did. I like this sofa. The build quality is good for the price, the assembly was pretty simple, it's very comfortable, and it's perfect for having some friends over. The chase section is a great addition as well. A few minor issues: -The cushions move around on top of the couch too much. I decided to get some velcro for them, so that they'll better stay in place. -On a similar note, I'd recommend getting some pads to put underneath the legs, because on hardwood floors, the couch/chase easily move around, which was to be expected. Overall, I am very happy with this sectional. It's not top of the line, but if this is your price range, it's a good buy. I recommend it. First off, I was skeptical about buying couches off of Amazon since I had never made such an important and large home purchase from the internet before. However, now that the couches are put togethe and in our living room, I think they look great. The color is true to the picture and the sectional is larger than I had imagined it would be. The material is sturdy and overall, it is pretty easy to put together. We did have to do a little manuevering of the screw holes since they were not precisely aligned on one of the pieces we had to put together. I was happy to find that the pillows are comfortable and 2-3 people can comfortably relax on this sectional. The ottoman is a great addition. We bought a wooden tray that covers the ottoman and we now use it as a resting area and as a converted "coffee table." I was not impressed with the two throw pillows, so we ended up buying much nicer pillows to spice up the sofa. The color can be a bit bland, so adding in fun throw pillows certainly helps. The reason this did not get 5 stars is because of the horrible shipping experience we had. The vendor used HomeDirect USA in our area. The shipment was late by a few days from the estimated latest arrival date from Amazon. The shipping company also did not update the shipping information while the sectional was in transit, so we were a bit in the dark on where the couches were located. THe other negative is that you cannot schedule a delivery time until the night before. Upon agreement with the shipping company for a specific delivery date, they then call with an automated message the night before indicated your 4 hour delivery window. If your schedule is busy, this can be a bit hard. We upgraded to a "Platinum" shipping where the company would bring the furniture in and assemble it. To our dismay, the couches were left unassembled and the company groaned after 20 minutes that they had been here long enough and that they would not assemble the couch. Without going into more detail, this left us without the service we requested and we ended up putting the couches together ourselves (all the while fixing mistakes they made on the pieces they had managed to put together). After promptly e-mailing VisionDecor and sending them pictures of the state the delivery company left our couches in, VisionDecor quickly worked to solve this issue. Their customer service was excellent all through the process and they were quick to respond to any questions I had. I cannot blame them for the shipping issue because they were quick to offer a solution and left me satisfied in the end. So, the couches are great and definitely worth the price...the shipping, however, left plenty to be desired. This sofa is made really cheaply and the only thing going for it- it looks good. The cons: 1.The two sections do not lock together, so if you are not putting it on carpet, it will slide all over. 2.When sitting down, the cushions slide out from under you so you end up sitting in a gap between cushions(the big chaise cushion slides off the sofa as you try to sit on it). 3.You can feel the springs in the cushions, the cushions are thin. 4.The fabric is not durable at all, it's very thin, the ottoman got a hole in it during the first week of use. In all it will look good in your formal sitting room but I do not recommend it for anything more than light sitting. I was looking for a sectional that would look nice in my living room, but nothing overly expensive since I have a toddler. I've owned this for about 8 months now and it has stood up to my daughter and her cousin bouncing all over it, and the fabric wipes clean pretty easily. Shipping took about a MONTH because the shipping company "forgot" about it and had it sitting in a warehouse for a couple weeks... HOWEVER, Visiondecor contacted me and OFFERED to refund my entire shipping cost (which was about 0 if I remember correctly) without me even asking! When it finally arrived, it came in 2 big boxes- you have to screw on the sofa backs, then attach the legs and put on the cushions, which all in all was pretty easy. The cushions seemed a little stiff at first, but they've broken in and are perfect now! I've also found that you can push the ottoman into the corner of the sectional, add a couple blankets on top to cover up the cracks and it makes a comfortable place for guests to sleep. I even sleep on it sometimes instead of my bed! Pros: Looks great (as long as you have reasonable expectations for the price- it's obviously not real leather!) Easy to set up Very helpful seller (Visiondecor) Easy to keep clean Very comfortable Cons: The cushions and pillows are not reversible Construction is not great quality (but I wasn't expecting it to be for this price!) Shipping took FOREVER- although the company reimbursed me for it so I can't complain It would be great if the ottoman had storage space but it doesn't. We were initially pretty sceptical of buying such a large item over the internet. After a lot of research, we decided to give it a try. Great quality for the price. Very easy to put together. Came in 3 boxes. Semi could not come into our dirveway so we had to transfer them onto our truck to get them to the house. Description says microfiber and leather. It is microfiber but not leather. The leather is a vynil leather look a like. You cannot tell after you put it together that it is not leather. We really like the way the furnature comes apart. It will make it much easier to get in and out of doors if and when we ever move again. You will need 2 people to lift the boxes into the room that you want to put it together in. All in all, we are very happy with the purchase and would not hesitate to order again from Great Furniture Deal. Thanks. This furniture is normal size, not child to preteen size like other furniture you see at Wal-Mart or Target. The price alone was my biggest draw. Similiar sets go from 00 to 00.
